How we help

Scholarships for students

The Foundation also provides scholarships for students who follow a biennial Masters of Science education in Animal Sciences at Wageningen University, or for MSc or PhD students who carry out a 3 to 6-month research term at the same institute for Animal Sciences. Many of these students originate from Central Europe, and afterwards they can apply what they learned in their own country.

Sponsoring of workshops and conferences

The Koepon Foundation sponsors workshops and conferences aimed at enhancing producers' knowledge about modern dairy breeding. An example of this sponsorship is a conference on developing and optimizing breeding schedules, which was organized at the University of Poznan, Poland.

Sponsoring of social projects and organizations

The Koepon Foundation sponsors various social projects and organizations, such as sheltered workshops, football clubs and schools. These contributions create an enjoyable social life for the employees and their families in the communities where they live.

Nature & landscape management and extensive agriculture

Furthermore Koepon is actively involved with nature and landscape management. In Mecklenburg, Germany, for example, there is a project with 150 Salers sucklers and about 3,000 sheep and lambs.
They are grazing in nature reserves with valuable ecology, so that rare plant and animal species can be retained. As time passes, the cattle and lambs are sold for the production of high-quality meat.
